Core Programs
Lung Cancer Precision Treatment
Molecular profiling of driver genes such as EGFR and ALK, with targeted therapy, immunotherapy and perioperative precision treatment. Prof. Wu Yilong's team has long led international and domestic multicenter clinical trials (the CTONG series) and pioneered the patient-centric clinical trial design, including a real-world study of EGFR-positive non-small cell lung cancer with brain metastases.
Lung Cancer Early Screening & Surgery
Prof. Zhong Wenzhao's team developed an AI imaging–liquid biopsy lung cancer early-screening and triage system. The center performs video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) minimally invasive radical lung cancer surgery, supported by a preoperative planning system based on 3D reconstruction–fluorescence imaging watershed analysis, and leads a Stage III lung cancer multidisciplinary joint clinic.
Medical Oncology
Established in 2004 as a secondary clinical department with 45 beds, the Department of Medical Oncology focuses on gastrointestinal tumors, head and neck tumors, and urological and gynecological tumors, providing early screening, diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment.
Breast Surgery
Led by Prof. Liao Ning, the Department of Breast Surgery focuses on individualized precision treatment of breast cancer — staging, sentinel lymph node assessment and molecular classification — and long runs the Prof. Liao Ning International Consultation multidisciplinary breast cancer case conference connecting with experts such as those at MD Anderson.
Thoracic Tumor Surgery
A major referral center for complex chest diseases (lung, esophagus, thymus, mediastinum and chest wall) in South China, performing lung transplantation, sleeve lobectomy, esophagectomy and thymectomy.
